| 释义 | 成員國 A state which is a founding, acceding, or affiliated member of an intergovernmental organisation, whether global or regional. A member state of an international organisation enjoys rights, assumes obligations, and performs functions as prescribed by the charter of that organisation. The member states of the United Nations enjoy sovereign juridical equality and access to the International Court of Justice: Charter of the United Nations 1945 art 2 para 1, art 93 para 1; Statute of the International Court of Justice 1945 art 35 para 1.
