释义	巴塞爾銀行監管委員會 A committee of banking supervisory authorities established by the central bank Governors of the Group of Ten countries in 1975. The creation of the committee was intended to protect both clients and the banks themselves in the face of collapse of a particular market. The purpose of the committee is to close gaps in the supervisory net and to improve supervisory understanding and the quality of banking supervision worldwide: Basel Committee on Banking Supervision 1989. It formulated an international agreement on minimum capital adequacy standards for banks that has been adopted by central banks in the majority of developed countries. It consists of senior representatives of bank supervisory authorities and central banks from Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It usually meets at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland.
