| 释义 | 領港 The service provided by a pilot who is taken on board a vessel at a particular place in assisting the master of a ship in navigation through a channel, waterway, or river, or when entering or leaving a port: The Andoni [1918] P 14. Pilotage licences are divided into Classes I, IIA, IIB, IIC and IID, the holders of which can provide pilotage of ships of any length, not exceeding 260 metres, 220 metres, 165 metres and 150 metres respectively: Pilotage Order (Cap 84C) para 5, sch II. A claim in respect of pilotage gives rise to a general maritime claim for the purposes of the admiralty jurisdiction of the court: High Court Ordinance (Cap 4) s 12A(2)(k). Where a ship, which needs compulsory pilotage, navigating in the pilotage area without the required number of pilot(s), the master will commit an offence: Pilotage Ordinance (Cap 84) ss 10A-10F, sch 1.
