| 释义 | 被定罪人 To find a defendant or accused guilty of a criminal offence after hearing the evidence in support of the charge or upon the acceptance of a plea of guilty. A finding of guilty may be made by a jury or the court, which is a judge of the District Court and a magistrate depending upon the nature of the offence. A finding of guilt is normally followed by sentencing proceedings: Magistrates Ordinance (Cap 227) s 19.
