释义 | 保持警覺的責任 The duty owed by motor vehicle drivers, railway drivers and driver’s assistants, aircraft flight crews, and watch officers on vessels, to keep a sufficient lookout from the conveyance under their charge, particularly in the direction of travel, so as to avoid collisions. For example, the master and crew are under an active duty to keep a lookout in order to assist the pilot: Netherlands Steam Boat Co v Styles, The Batavier (1854) 9 Moo PCC 286.
