| 释义 | 股東 A person registered in a company’s register of members as the holder of shares; a person who has an interest in the share capital of a corporation. It is also known as ‘company member’ or ‘member’, as the Companies Ordinance (Cap 32) assumes that a person who is a shareholder, is also a member of a company: Gower’s Principles of Modern Company Law (6th Ed, Stevens and Sons, 1979, London) p 328. The verb ‘hold’ and its variants normally refers to the legal ownership of shares according to the register of members: Dalgety Downs Pastoral Co Pty Ltd v FCT (1952) 86 CLR 335.
