Supplemental deed |
A deed (or other instrument) which is read as supplemental to an earlier deed, so that the two operate jointly to achieve a purpose, only if an intention appears from the deeds. It is insufficient for joint operation that the earlier deed is accidentally inadequate, but the later refers to it and would perfect it if read as if part of it: Hawkins v Kemp (1803) 3 East 410, 102 ER 655. See also Incorporation by reference. 另見 Incorporation by reference。 |
