释义	協定價值保單 An agreement by an insurer to pay a fixed sum in the event of the insured’s loss, irrespective of the value of the subject property at the time of the loss. The declaration by the insurer of the property’s value as stated either in the proposal or the policy itself does not necessarily constitute an agreed value policy, as the former is merely providing the insurer with information upon which it may assess the value of the risk being insured: Carreras Ltd v Cunard Steamship Co Ltd [1918] 1 KB 118. It may also be applicable to a written memorandum providing temporary insurance until the policy is issued.
