释义 | 電視節目 Moving visual representational images (ie images comprised within sequences of visual images capable of being seen as moving images), or a combination of sounds and such images, that are intended to inform, enlighten or entertain, but not including visual images that consist predominantly of alphanumeric text, data, graphs, charts, diagrams or video games: Broadcasting Ordinance (Cap 562) s 2(1). A television programme does not cease to be so merely because it is an interactive programme, ie a programme which is designed so that the viewer can participate or influence its contents and method of presentation (if it is otherwise a television programme): s 2(4)(c). No television programme may contain any matter (1) which is indecent, obscene or of bad taste or which is not ordinarily acceptable to the viewers taking into consideration the circumstances of the broadcast of the television programme; (2) which is likely to encourage hatred against or fear of, and/or be considered to be denigrating or insulting to any person(s) or group(s) on the basis of ethnicity, nationality, race, gender, sexual preference, religion, age, social status, or physical or mental disability; and (3) which is contrary to law. Presentation of all performers must be within the bounds of propriety in order to preserve decency and decorum in production so as to avoid embarrassment or offence to viewers at home: Generic Code of Practice on Television Programme Standards ch 3 paras 2, 3.
