承背書人
The person to whom rights are transferred by indorsement of a bill of exchange, promissory note, cheque, or payment order. A person who has the rights which are given by statute in respect of a bill or cheque by virtue of an indorsement and is not limited to one who has received a cheque with a signature actually written on the back: Midland Bank Ltd v R V Harris Ltd [1963] 2 All ER 685, 1 WLR 1021.
