释义 | 限制宣傳 In the context of legal practitioners, a prohibition imposed by the professional organisations on the practice promotion and marketing activities of the lawyers. On 25th November 1996, the Hong Kong Law Society removed all restrictions for practice promotion by solicitors in all media including advertising on television, radio, cinema and in all public places provided that the practice promotion complies with the general principles of the Solicitors’ Practice Promotion Code. The other branch of the legal profession namely barristers, however, still maintain extensive restrictions on the form and content of practice promotion.
