释义 | 代名人/被指定人/獲提名人 An agent acting on behalf of a principal often employed in the buying and selling of securities. The nominee may be simply charged with the administration of a portfolio or may be acting for those who wish to conceal their identities. Acting through a nominee is a useful technique often used when orchestrating a takeover. Prohibition to be a member of a holding company extends to the nominee: Companies Ordinance (Cap 32) ss 28A (1), (8).
