释义 | 粗心大意 1. Failure to observe or pay attention; negligence or failure to see a risk of injury which a reasonable person would have foreseen in the same circumstances. 2. In a restricted sense, ignorance of the law. A plaintiff who, due to mistake or inadvertence, fails to give notice of an intention to take action for injuries received in a motor vehicle accident may still be entitled to relief: A-G v South China Morning Post Ltd & Anor [1984] HKC 500; Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co Ltd v Shun Shing Construction and Engineering Co Ltd [1996] 2 HKC 395 (HC).
