释义 | 1895年殖民地法律生效法案 An Act passed by the UK Parliament to remove doubts as to the validity of colonial laws. Any colonial law repugnant to the provisions of any Act of Parliament or subsidiary legislation under such Act extending to the colony should be void and inoperative: Colonial Laws Validity Act 1865 s 2. The colonial legislature could alter common law and equity: s 3. A colonial legislature could still make valid law though it failed to comply with the instructions given by or on behalf of the Queen: s 4; Pong Wai Ting v A-G [1925] 20 HKLR 2.
