释义	祖 In Chinese customary law, a lineage trust whereby ancestral land is held by an ancient Chinese institution in common ownership for the lifetime benefit of every male descendant. Tso always use the name of the common ancestor plus the Chinese character ‘tso’. There are three types of tso (1) tso created by a male in his lifetime as a settlement; (2) tso created by the descendants for veneration in discharge of their filial duty; and (3) tso created by a post-mortal adopted son for an intestate without male issue. Tso has no ancestral hall: Tang Yau Yi Tong & Anor v Tang Mou Shau Tso & Ors [1995] HKLY 788.
