释义 | 商業經紀人 A person who, in return for payment or remuneration of some kind, undertakes tasks on behalf of another, such as serving a writ or summons, repossessing or locating goods, or collecting or requesting payment of debts. It does not include an advertising agent who is generally disqualified from applying for a licence for the avoidance of conflict of interest: Telecommunications Ordinance (Cap 106) s 13A(1). In relation to sale of land, a commercial agent has narrower powers than a management company and is not appointed by deed and has no security of tenure: Cheung Kai Wei Sandra v Fuk Ka Pak (No 1) [1990] 2 HKC 394 (高等法院).
