释义 | 充公 1. The appropriation of property by a government without compensation. Confiscation is contrasted with expropriation. States may sign bilateral treaties to ensure foreign investment is not confiscated by a foreign government without redress. 2. A penalty for attempting to carry prohibited contraband to a port of place, blockaded or under seige.
