| 释义 | 股份合併 The conversion of a certain number of shares of a particular nominal value into a smaller number of shares of a larger nominal value. For example, ten one dollar shares might be consolidated into five two dollar shares. A consolidation of shares does not change the aggregate value of the company’s authorised or issued capital even though the number of shares representing them decreases. Consolidation of shares into shares of larger amount is one of the alterations which may be made in the memorandum of a company without the confirmation of the court: Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, Vol 6, Companies and Corporations [95.0082], [95.0242].
