释义 | 遵守的期限 The time provided in a rule, order, court order, notice, demand, subpoena, consent order, condition, direction, or practice direction, within which a specified act or step must be done or taken or any other specified condition must be performed. The time may be extended, if the laws or rules provide for such an extension, and at the discretion of the person making the decision. The court in certain circumstances has power to extend time for performance of the terms of a consent judgment: Leung Yee & Anor v Ng Yiu Ming & Anor [2001] 1 HKC 342, 1 HKLRD 309 (CA). Where a party is served with a document in an official language with which he is not familiar, time for compliance with any rule or order requiring any step in proceedings to be taken within a particular period will not start to run until translation to the other official language is received: District Court Civil Procedure (General) (Use of Language) Rules (Cap 5A) r 3 (9).
