It includes urban renewal, road works and railways, airport, land reclamation, land resumption, developing country parks and marine parks, preserving antiquities and monuments for the public. Town planning, development and land-use aim to benefit the public and develop public amenities. They are governed by various ordinances including the Town Planning Ordinance (Cap 131) and Building Ordinance (Cap 123).
