释义 | 危險處所 Real property which creates a risk of harm to individuals on or near it. Liability in negligence may be incurred by an occupier for injuries caused on dangerous premises and for injuries caused by dangerous things escaping from premises: Rylands v Fletcher (1868) LR 3 HL 330. Builders, developers, architects, engineers, and local authorities may be held liable in negligence for dangerous or defective premises: Read v Lyons & Co Ltd [1945] KB 216, [1947] AC 156. ‘Dangerous building’ means a building in such a condition as to cause risk of injury either to the occupiers or users of such building or to the occupiers or users of any neighbouring building or to the general public: Building Ordinance (Cap 123) s 2(1).
