释义	證券交易 Making or offering to make an agreement by any person (whether acting as principal or agent) with any other person, or inducing or attempting to induce any other person to enter into or offer to enter into any agreement: (a) for or with a view to acquiring, disposing of, subscribing for or underwriting securities; (b) the purpose or pretended purpose of which is to secure a profit to any of the parties from the yield of securities or by reference to fluctuations in the value of securities: Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap 571) sch 1 pt 1 s 1. It includes, generally, any transaction involving securities. The Securities and Futures Commission takes all reasonable steps to provide protection for members of the public investing in or holding financial products and minimise crime and misconduct in the securities and futures industry: Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap 571) ss 4-6.
