| 释义 | 在受看管時死亡 The death of a person which occurs while the person is being held in custody. It includes the death of a person who dies whilst in the custody of a police officer, or during the course of a police officer’s discharge of his duty: Coroners Ordinance (Cap 504) s 15(3). The expression ‘official custody’ in the context of the Coroners Ordinance means detention, whether lawful or not, in the custody of a police officer, officer of the Correctional Services Department, any person having statutory powers of arrest or detention such as the Independent Commission Against Corruption, a reformatory school or remand home under the management, control or direction of the Director of Social Welfare in consequence of a detention or committal order, a place of refuge under the Protection of Children and Juveniles Ordinance (Cap 213), a mental hospital within the meaning of the Mental Health Ordinance including custody in such a hospital or the guardianship of a person under the Mental Health Ordinance (Cap 136): s 2.
