| 释义 | 司法常務官 A judicial officer of the court who exercises both judicial and administrative functions. The Registrar shall have and may exercise and discharge such other jurisdiction, powers and duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by or under rules of court or any other law: District Court Ordinance (Cap 336) s 14(2A). The Registrar of the High Court and every deputy registrar, temporary deputy registrar, assistant registrar and temporary assistant registrar attached to the High Court may exercise any power or discharge any duty in relation to the business and proceedings of the District Court which any such person might respectively have exercised or discharged if he had been appointed or attached to the District Court: s 14(4). For example, the Registrar may exercise and perform the powers and duties conferred or imposed upon the court by the Companies Ordinance (Cap 32) ss 221, 222: Companies Ordinance (Cap 32) s 221A. Voluntary associations - The Registrar of Companies, who has the power to register any company which is a non-profit organisation as a limited company with limited liability and possessing the same duties and rights as a limited company.
