释义 | 登記 1. The act of making a list in a register, particularly of an official character in which the existence of some thing or state of affairs is recorded; for example, births and deaths, or the ownership, existence and particulars of ships, aircraft, or motor vehicles. In some instances, registration confers further status; for example, the registration of a ship results in the acquisition of nationality, bringing the ship within the laws of the country of registration. Registration may be compulsory: Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance (Cap 174) s 7. 2. The fact of being entered in a register. See also Owner; Registered owner. Conflict of laws - The process of listing an international treaty with the United Nations Secretariat: Charter of the United Nations 1945 art 102 para 1; Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties 1969 art 80. The aim of registration is to prevent members from entering secret arrangements without the knowledge of their nationals and other states. Not registering a treaty does not make it void, but no party to such a treaty may invoke it before any organ of the United Nations: Charter of the United Nations 1945 art 102 para 2.
