1. The making of a long term gift to charity. 2. Any permanent provision for the maintenance of schools or universities. 3. A permanent provision for any institution or person. 4. Endowments in perpetuity for the purpose of ancestral worship, also known as ancestral worship trusts, exist under Chinese law and custom as an institution of that legal system dating from Qing times.
