释义	威脅信件 An intimation by way of a letter expressing the intent to commit to a proposed course of action usually to effect some purpose: Sorrell v Smith [1925] AC 700. It is an offence to maliciously send, deliver, utter or directly or indirectly cause to be received, knowing the contents thereof, any letter or writing threatening to kill or murder any person: Offences Against the Person Ordinance (Cap 212) s 15. The issue of whether the letter is a threat to kill is an issue for the jury: R v Boucher (1831) 4 C & P 562.
