| 释义 | 文件誓章 An affidavit prepared by a party to litigation disclosing to the other party to the proceedings all documents in his or her possession, custody, or control relating to facts in issue in the proceeding. The court may order a party to a cause or matter to make an affidavit verifying his list of documents and to serve a copy of the affidavit on the other party: The Rules of the High Court (Cap 4A) O 24 rr 2(7), 3(1), 3(2). Such an order will not normally be made as a matter of course, but will be made when the circumstances warrant the making of it, as for example in actions where fraud is alleged or where serious conflict of testimony may arise as to the existence or non-existence or authenticity of documents, or where a party claims to seal up parts of books or documents, or it is properly desired to secure greater care and responsibility on the part of a party to make full disclosure. The affidavit verifying the list must be in the prescribed form and it must be sworn by the party himself: The Rules of the High Court (Cap 4A) App A Form 27.
