| 释义 | 認可調解人 A third party appointed by agreement between the parties or by the court to facilitate settlement-oriented negotiations between the parties to a dispute. Mediators may not necessarily be legally trained but have substantial experience, expertise and qualifications in areas related to the basis of the particular dispute. In some jurisdictions mediation may be court-annexed (mediation must be attempted before resort to the judiciary) and in Hong Kong, a family mediation pilot scheme was instituted in 1999. Family mediators can also be formally accredited by way of courses jointly administered by the Hong Kong Law Society and the Hong Kong Mediation Council.
