释义	更改工程 In relation to construction works, works not included in the work contracted for, but which it is agreed the contractor will perform for the proprietor. Most contracts for works of construction commonly give the employer or his agent express power to order extra work or variations (whether by way of addition, alteration or omission to the works contracted for): RICS Conditions of Contract cl 11. However, if no provision is so made the contractor is not obliged to do so. They must form the subject of a new contract or be a variation of the original contract: Blue Circle Industries plc v Holland Dredging Co (UK) Ltd [1987] 37 BLR 40 (CA).
