錯誤法律責任 A mistake that causes a person to believe that he or she is liable to pay money: Aiken v Short (1856) 1 H & N 210, 156 ER 1180. In some circumstances, a person satisfying another’s liability without request may also be entitled to restitution: Alexander v Vane (1836) 1 M & W 511, 150 ER 537.
