| 释义 | 預期負責 A liability which is not yet due, but it is certain to become due in the future, either on some date which has already been determined on some date determinable by reference to future events: Stonegate Securities Ltd v Gregory [1980] Ch 576 . An example is the liability of the original landlord to refund the deposit, the liability is contingent upon compliance of the tenant with the terms of the tenancy; when the tenancy comes to an end, without the happening of the contingent event, the liability, original prospective, becomes a present liability: Crocodile Garments Ltd v The Prudential Enterprise Ltd [1989] 1 HKC 474 (HC).
