The Merchant Shipping (Registration) Ordinance (Cap 415) provides for the registration of owners of ships. The Civil Aviation Ordinance (Cap 448) provides for the registration of owners of aircraft. The Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap 374) provides for the registration of owners of vehicles. A declaration of the identity of the owner is to be made in the course of applying for a licence to use and operate smaller vessels such as fishing boats under the Shipping and Port Control Ordinance (Cap 313).
