| 释义 | 登記處 A place where documents are lodged or filed with the court. For example, the primary functions of the High Court Registry in relation to civil proceedings are to issue originating process and act as a repository for the filing of documents; it also fulfils very important functions in the administration of the criminal justice system, in respect of hearings before magistrates, the registry is responsible for the service of documents such as summonses and notices, which are usually served by the court bailiffs: Magistrates Ordinance (Cap 227) ss 7G(2), 8(2)(e).
