释义	解釋規則 A principle governing the interpretation of the terms of a document or statutory instrument. In contract law, a range of guidelines has developed to assist in understanding the terms of a contract. For example: preference will be given to the ‘ordinary’ or ‘usual’ meaning of words; courts will try to give effect to a contract; terms will be intended to operate reasonably; courts will adopt a commonsense approach on issues of interpretation; and account will be taken of the factual matrix in which the contract is made.
