| 释义 | 開庭期 The times during which the courts conduct their business. According to rules that have been made, the High Court must hold three sittings every year: (1) the Winter sitting, which begins on 4 January and ends on the Thursday before Easter Sunday; (2) the Spring sitting, which begins on the second Monday after Easter Sunday and ends on 31 July; and (3) the Autumn sitting, which begins on 1 September and ends on 23 December: The Rules of the High Court (Cap 4A) O 64 r 1(a)-(c). The usual hours of sittings in the High Court are from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm: High Court Practice Direction No 9.1 ‘Court Sittings’.
