释义 | 運動 Any game, exercise, pastime, fight, or contest, including any form of racing (such as bicycle, foot, or horse racing), cricket or football matches and swimming carnivals. The promotion of sport in Hong Kong is largely in the hands of voluntary organisations with the Government playing a role at arm’s length in fund allocation, facilities provision, and assistance in organisation of sporting events. The Hong Kong Sports Development Board is a statutory body with the objectives of: (1) developing sport and physical recreation in Hong Kong; (2) education and training of people involved in sport and physical recreation activities; (3) research into sports science and sports medicine; and (4) advising the Government on sports-related matters. The Government of the Hong Kong SAR can, on its own, formulate policies on sports; and non- governmental sports organisations may continue to exist and develop in accordance with law: Basic Law art 143. The common law of negligence applies to sports activities: Condon v Basi [1985] 2 All ER 453, 1 WLR 866.
