释义 | 脫衣搜身 An inspection of the body, possessions, and garments of a person which may require the removal of the person’s clothes. In Hong Kong, if a police officer finds a person acting in a suspicious manner and considers it necessary to do so, he may search the person for anything that may present a danger to him: Police Force Ordinance (Cap 232) s 54. A strip search must be carried out by an officer of the same sex as the person to be searched and with appropriate respect for that person’s dignity: Police General Orders ch 49. A police officer or an officer of the Customs and Excise Service, both of or above the rank of Inspector, may request a doctor or registered or enrolled nurse to examine the body cavities of a person if the officer has reason to suspect that such person has in his actual custody an article liable to seizure: Dangerous Drugs Ordinance (Cap 134) s 52.
