| 释义 | 良好品格要求 The requirement for admission to practice law in Hong Kong that the candidate for admission, in addition to satisfying all prescribed educational requirements, must be of good fame and character and be a fit and proper person to be a legal practitioner: for example, Trainee Solicitors Rules (Cap 159J) r 8 (1); Barristers (Qualification) Rules (159 E) r 3 (b). The fact that previous criminal convictions would clearly militate against such a person being admitted. However, much will depend upon the nature of convictions, for example, even a serious conviction may not always preclude admission: Mr O [1991] NLJ 698.
