释义 | 不雅的或屬惡意中傷的問題 In the conduct of cross examination, a question relating to a witness’ credit that in the court’s opinion is scandalous, offensive, or similarly improper that does not relate to facts in issue. The court may disallow an unduly annoying, harassing, intimidating, offensive, oppressive, or repetitive question. Interrogatories must not be unreasonable, vexatious, prolix, oppressive or scandalous: Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, Vol 5(2), Civil Procedure [90.0629]. What is scandalous depends upon the circumstances of each case: Kennedy v Dodson [1895] 1 Ch 334 (CA).
