| 释义 | 權益的共有 In property law, one of the ‘four unities’ that are the indicia of a joint tenancy. Unity of interest requires the tenants to hold the same interest in the whole land and every part of it. The interest of each is also the same in extent, nature and duration, and must be vested at the same time at common law: Nield, Hong Kong Land Law (2nd Ed) ch 10 pp 239-241; Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, Vol 16, 2001 Reissue, Land [230.0797]-[230.0798]. If unity of interest is absent, the parties hold as tenants in common.
