释义	中傷 A public act of showing and inciting hatred towards, serious contempt for, or severe ridicule of, a person or group of persons. Among other things, the Disability Discrimination Ordinance (Cap 487) prohibits vilification of persons with a disability and their associates. It is unlawful for a person, by any activity in public, to incite hatred towards, serious contempt for, or severe ridicule of, another person with a disability or members of a class of persons with a disability: Disability Discrimination Ordinance (Cap 487) s 46(1). Where the court is satisfied that the respondent has committed an unlawful act of vilification against the claimant in contravention of the Disability Discrimination Ordinance it may make any order which it considers just and appropriate in the circumstances: s 72(3). The Equal Opportunities Commission may issue codes of practice containing such practical guidance as it thinks fit for the purposes of the elimination of vilification: s 65(1)(a), (c).
