释义 | 國際義務 A duty imposed by international law or treaty on an international person, to perform acts in accordance with, or refrain from acts inconsistent with, international and treaty law. it emanates from recognised principles and norms of international law. An international person may voluntarily assume such obligations by concluding an international treaty: for example, Commonwealth v Tasmania (Tasmanian Dam case) (1983) 158 CLR 1. Whatever the source of an international obligation, it is binding, enforceable, and supersedes domestic legislation in the event of conflict.
