| 释义 | 代收銀行 A bank with whom a customer has deposited cheques or other instruments collected from the drawee bank on behalf of its customers. Any bank, other than a remitting bank, involved in processing the collection order: Uniform Rules for Collection (URC 522); Coconut Tree Holdings Ltd v Verenigd Spaarbank NV [2000] 4 HKC 734. A collecting bank which, in good faith and without negligence, collects the proceeds of cheques on behalf of their customers are being protected be the legislation: Bills of Exchange Ordinance (Cap 19) s 86; Zanda Investment Ltd v Bank of America National Trust and Savings Assn & Ors [1994] 2 HKC 409 (HC).
