释义 | 托收 The crediting by the collecting bank of a cheque or a bill of exchange to the account of the holder. In the context of negotiable instruments, it means the handling of specific documents by banks in accordance with instructions in order to obtain payment and/or acceptance; or deliver documents against payment and/or acceptance; or deliver documents on other terms and conditions: Uniform Rules for Collections (URC 522). Most cheques are collected through the cheque clearing house. A deposit bank, or another bank on its behalf, will collect the cheque from the drawee bank via the clearing house. Also known as ‘collecting the cheque’.
