| 释义 | 集體干涉 An agreement between states to cooperate and render support to one another if another state resorts to an act of aggression. Collective intervention is permitted by the Charter of the United Nations 1945. Any aggression against a member state by a third party is deemed aggression against all members. If the Security Council determines there is a ‘threat to the peace, breach of the peace, or act of aggression’, it may take non-military and military measures to maintain and restore peace and security: Charter of the United Nations 1945 arts 39, 41, 42.
