The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong has a trading floor, however, since trades on securities listed in Hong Kong are executed electronically, the practical use of a central place for traders to meet is no longer needed. In contrast with the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, the trading floor of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange no longer exists because all trades are match electronically through computer networks. Also known as ‘trading pit’.
