| 释义 | 投資銀行 The financial institution which takes the lead in managing and underwriting an issue, advising corporations and governments on how to raise capital, and guaranteeing the sale of new bonds and shares distributing them to investing institutions and individuals. Sometimes this institution may not be a bank at all but rather a stockbroker or other financial services company: Martin Sabine Corporate Finance (2nd Ed, Butterworths). It does not engage in commercial bank activity.
