释义 | 妨礙警務人員 A person who assaults, resists, or wilfully obstructs any police officer in the due execution of his duty or any person acting in aid of such officer, or assaults any person with intent to resist or prevent the lawful apprehension or detainer of himself or of any other person for any offence, commits an offence: Police Force Ordinance (Cap 232) s 63. A person who hinders or obstructs an authorised officer in the execution of a warrant commits an offence: Organised and Serious Crimes Ordinance (Cap 455) s 5(6). It is a misdemeanour at common law to refuse to assist a police officer in the execution of his duty in preventing a breach of the peace, where that person is called on to assist and it is necessary to seek the assistance of that person: R v Sherlock (1866) LR 1 CCR 20 (CCR).
