释义 | 低血糖症 A state of low blood sugar which may be caused by an excess of injected insulin. Hypoglycaemia can cause a disturbance of the sufferer’s mental capacities such that the person may lack the necessary mental state to be criminally responsible for the person’s actions. Hypoglycaemia can give rise to a state of automatism which negatives the voluntariness of the actus reus of a crime: Waltmore v Jenkins [1962] 2 QB 572.
